The family established a successful farming operation in the northern Free State, which later diversified into other agri-businesses. It remains a family-owned and operated business.

Our passion for farming beef cattle began 80 years ago when our grandfather, John Rhys Evans, started farming with Sussex cattle. Rhys, as he was known, started our herd with the specific purpose of supplying South African cattle ranchers with quality genetics.
And three generations in, we are proud to still hold to this purpose, as we continue to innovate and refine our breeding practices. We invite you to become part of our story.
